Protecting Our Planet: TPL Volunteers Join Hands for Mother Earth Day Beach Cleanup
At TPL, we’re committed to driving environmental awareness and action through impactful initiatives. In celebration of Mother Earth Day 2025, various employees under TPL Group of Companies came together for a beach cleanup activity aimed at combating coastal pollution and promoting sustainability.
Stepping Up for the Planet
A total of 15 volunteers participated in the cleanup drive at Karachi’s coast, dedicating their time and energy to make a tangible difference. Together, the team helped remove 25 kg of waste, including plastic debris, straws, juice boxes, and other hazardous litter that pollutes our beaches and marine ecosystems.
Responsible Waste Disposal with GarbageCan
Our waste management partner, GarbageCan, collaborated with us on this initiative. Their Founder & CEO, Ahmad Shabbar, kicked off the activity with an insightful talk on the importance of responsible waste management and the role of citizen-led action. Following the activity, all collected waste was sent to GarbageCan’s facility for environmentally safe disposal. A detailed audit and impact report of the collected waste is also being prepared, which will contribute to our annual sustainability disclosures.
Building a Culture of Accountability and Action
This initiative reflects our collective responsibility to care for the environment. It not only aligns with our values of sustainability but also supports the global mission to reduce plastic pollution and protect biodiversity.
